Maria trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and graduated with a Masters in Performance Design in 2021. She was awarded the John Elvery Prize to recognise Excellence in Stage Design for her work towards creative collaboration, accessibility and sustainable design concepts. Outside freelance performance design, Maria is an artist and maker and works as a design tutor and technician for secondary and university students.
